The first episode of Danger 5 - "I Danced For Hitler", is finally out, and I anticipate it will be relevant to the interests of several of our regular visitors. Surely this is the classiest thing on television right now. Right?
Well tan my hide and call me bashful, I guess this had to happen eventually right? I mean if there's one thing the American movie-going public will like better than seeing zombies getting their arses kicked, it's seeing Zombie Osama bin Laden getting his arse kicked.
No, I'm not using a turn of phrase, someone actually patented the use of a laser pointer being used to exercise cats. For realzies. More specifically, "A method for inducing cats to exercise consists of directing a beam of invisible light produced by a hand-held laser apparatus onto the floor or wall or other opaque surface in the vicinity of the cat, then moving the laser so as to cause the bright pattern of light to move in an iregular way fascinating to cats, and to any other animal with a chase instinct."
Yup. That was one sentence. Apparently.
So, this is pretty great. It heads into WTF territory fairly early on, but stick around for the payoff, it's worth it. Definitely time for me to get me some of that non-university tertiary education.
You know who the bad guys are, because they say swears when they get cross, and you know who the good guys are because their mums made their gi for them. Other things I love about this clip include: Covering your face only when it's time to fight. Knights of justice. That boomerang. Tic-disorders in place of fight preparation. Ten seconds between death of villain and end credits.
Wow someone has made an awesome fake trailer for... wait what? It's real? This is an actual movie slated for release later this year? Hnnngh! Something tells me that for all the crazy blockbuster stuff that they put out this year, this one will be one that I won't want to miss.
The Final Boss Of The Internet Funny. Cute. Wrong. Time-thief. Video. You've already seen this on Reddit.
Okay so I took the title from the current top comment... this is one of those special, unique presentations that comes along every now and then. Apparently the story is that this girl got access to a greenscreen at her school, and decided to make a music video for her band Orphic Oxtra.
Dara Ó Briain covers a few cogent points about requiring people to provide evidence for their claims. Of course some people will say "There's more to life than evidence", but if you watch the video he has a prepared response for you around the 2:50 mark.
So apparently this is how they deal with passengers who want to play pool in rough seas on those big cruise ships. Or at least on the Radiance Of The Seas, which is where this video was apparently filmed. Pretty awesome, apparently there's a mini golf course as well, but I suspect it's not similarly equipped.
Yup. I can see myself being not entirely sober, and spending a lot of time watching this channel and laughing. If you click the title up there it'll take you to a playlist from this channel, or you can just select from the related videos when this one ends.
Guys & Girls Swap Roles At A Bar Funny. Cute. Time-thief. Video. You've already seen this on Reddit.
Okay so this is obviously not accurate for all guys or girls but there are a couple of great moments in there. I especially enjoyed the dancing scene, I've seen guys doing that on one or two occasions and the reaction were priceless.
Okay so this sort of stuff is probably only of interest to a certain type of person, but damn it if I don't think some of our fans might fit the bill. I don't think I'll ever look at a facebook comment thread without wondering how it would play out in dramatic interpretation...
I hate it when I find something like this before I have to go to work, I spend the whole day wondering if there's a way to avoid being eaten by a Grue. In the meantime you can all have fun playing and bragging about your high scores and how spectacular the ending is. Stupid spectacular ending.
Those magnificent bastards from OK Go have done the cool video-clip thing again for their song Needing/Getting, this really is pretty damn awesome. Apparently each piano has the lowest octaves tuned to the same note so that they'd play the right note no matter where they were struck.
I guess it was only a matter of time before we saw a stuffed animal advising teens to save themselves for marriage. As everyone knows that girls and guys alike are ruined and soiled if they partake in pre-marital shennanigans; it's a good thing he was able to listen to his freaky, furry comrade and resist the temptation that little whorebag was offering. How dare she decide she might be ready to move things up a notch from standing awkwardly in front of her doorway.
Good on him for showing her the right thing to do, though there is a little concern if he considers that bear to be equally "cuddly" to his date... I'm unclear as to whether the boss upstairs has a stance on plushophilia, but he's not exactly known for his liberal attitudes.
This is freakin' adorable! Two recreational hockey teams from Ontario were having their match as usual, thinking that some filmmakers were shooting a little documentary about rec hockey. Instead it was the setup for a Budwiser Commercial that'll give you warm fuzzies.
Ha! Yeah I'm pretty sure most men have done this at some point in their lives, right? I've seen it happen right in front of me, it's hilarious.
Oh the cheese! Apparently this was created as a student film project, it seems that their goal was to capture as much of the cheesy vibe of the 80's as possible. I'm pretty happy to say they did an admirable job of that at least.
I've heard all too many of these before... though I'm happy to say that as a rule I don't hang around with people who are serious about having glassed someone. I'm just not rock and roll enough for that I suppose.
