Of course, I would find this funny, given that I have no university degree of my own. People who live in small, mud-caked hovels in the shadow of the crystalline spires of our great institutes of learning might as well throw stones.
I am entirely confident that there is a limit to just how many Archer quotes the fine people over at sterlingarcherdraperpryce.tumblr.com can put to screengrabs from Mad Men. I am also quite sure that I want them to hit that limit before they stop, some of these are just beautiful.
Thanks to @matlane74 for this one.
Well this catapulted me back to my childhood pretty damn quickly. Check out the new Ben Folds Five music video for "Do It Anyway", in which he is accompanied by none other than the Fraggles. If you never watched Fraggle Rock as a kid well... well you probably watched other shows, but I sure liked it. I remember being very curious as to exactly what the Doozer constructions tasted like.
What happens when you take a video made by Jehovah's Witnesses telling the deaf not to masturbate, and marry it with R Kelly's "Ignition Remix"? Fucking beautiful magical things, that's what. There are moments where it is almost too perfect.
Many thanks to @matlane74 for the suggestion.
Man, this could have gone so badly but I think they've done a fantastic job. Certainly doesn't make me less inclined to use Good Books in the future.
I've been really lax with this one, but for those few who might not have already seen it this Bad Lip reading treatement of Twilight may well be worth the wait. Or not.
Who knew that a sloth trying to cross the road would turn into the most inspiring thing you'd see today? It's just so damn beautiful.
Troma Entertainment, who brought us titles like Cannibal! The Musical, The Toxic Avenger and Killer Condom, have released a huge amount of their back-catalogue onto youtube. On purpose. If you've never seen Cannibal! you owe it to yourself to check it out.
It... it's so beautiful. Maybe it's just a need for significantly more sleep, but at this moment this clip just feels so right. A gift.
The "problem" with knowing people who are interested in Game Dev is that you constantly have more experimental games to play. Addictive experimental games, that you figure you'll play just one more time... Like KROOG, which is part of the current JS13K competition.
If Disney just gives you a warm fuzzy wholesome feeling that you treasure more than life itself, probably best not to head over to Thomas Czarnecki Photography, where he's been exploring some fairly dark interpretations of old Disney classics. Mind you, if you're not particularly attached to your childhood then get stuck right in.
Thanks to Mr Fish for this one!
The sheer effort and time this must have taken makes me happy. It's not like we haven't seen similar stuff spins before, but it still tickles me.
